About NPS | Support and Services

Nikon Professional Services (NPS) is an organization that supports full-time professional photographers who earn their living using Nikon equipment by providing them with valuable assistance in a variety of fields.

Equipment repairs

Priority will be given for repairs to registered equipment.*1

Loan of replacement equipment for emergencies

Loan of replacement equipment is available in emergencies if repairs require considerable time, etc.*2

Equipment inspection and cleaning of image sensor (registered equipment only)

Equipment inspection and image sensor cleaning are available for registered equipment at NPS service centers.

Support for cultural and sports events

Nikon Service Depot is set up for major cultural and sports events in each country to support the press. Free equipment inspection and minor repairing are available (with proof of accreditation). Loan of equipment will be offered in most cases and instructions for use will be provided. Proof of accreditation must be presented at the venue to receive support and services.

NPS Global Support and Services are dedicated support services for NPS members who are traveling in countries or areas away from where they are registered.
After their identity and membership have been confirmed, they may receive the following services for their registered equipment at NPS service centers:

Repairs covered by warranty

Digital products are not currently covered by "The Nikon Worldwide Service Warranty" but NPS Global Support and Services will apply a one-year service warranty from the day of purchase at the NPS Global Support and Service Network to them, even if they are registered in a different country. Proof of warranty and purchase date should be presented.

Priority for repairs*1

Priority for repairs is equivalent to that of an NPS service center's local members.

Loan of replacement equipment for use during repairs*5

Replacement equipment will be the same or a model as close as possible to the one being repaired. The member's preferred equipment may not be available, depending on stock and availability in the relevant country.

  • *3 Members must provide their NPS member ID card and a valid form of identification such as a passport to receive services at a local service center. Also, members must read and sign a consent form regarding the use of personal information.
  • *4 The availability of specific equipment may depend on the member's length of stay in that country. In cases where the member will not stay in the country long enough for the repair to be completed, equipment may be loaned to the member.
  • *5 Equipment is loaned to foreign members only as a temporary replacement for the equipment that is being repaired, or when travel plans prevent the repair of the member's equipment. In order to borrow replacement equipment, the equipment for which repair is needed must be brought to the service center.
