Clarity, which was newly added to the Picture Control system from the D810, plays a role similar to selecting a film in the era of silver halide photos. To reproduce the light color of the cherry blossoms as I actually saw it, I set White Balance to Direct sunlight mode and Picture Control to Portrait. The soft image was creating by adjusting the Clarity level to -5. The sense of softness was maximized by taking advantage of the beautiful bokeh and sharpness rendered by the AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED and its exclusive Nano Crystal Coat technology.
