Matrix metering is recommended. To let the camera adjust Active D‑Lighting automatically according to the scene, choose Auto, but note that in exposure mode M, Auto is equivalent to Normal.
Noise may be visible in photos taken at high ISO sensitivities.
Custom Control Assignment: Active D‑Lighting
If Active D‑Lighting is assigned to a camera control using Custom Setting f1 (Custom control assignment), you can select an option during shooting just by pressing the control and rotating a command dial.
